A challenge ...

When I decided to give my phone to a friend, I was accused of being corrupt and criminal. The accusers assumed that the phone that I gave him came from the manufacturer and that they thought that I am receiving bribes from companies in exchange for favorable reviews and articles.

THE TRUTH: All the gadgets that I review in the Technews Section of the Manila Bulletin are owned by the company. We don't borrow units from manufacturers so that we could have impartial and unbiased reviews.

THE TRUTH: The phone that I gave him is my own, and that I gave it because it would be a pity for a great device to just stay in my drawer.

Pinoy IT Journalists often receive giveaways in events and tokens after coverages. Sometimes, companies have the gall to send their products and boldly request the editor to "keep the unit" to have a good review.

This blog is a list of all the giveaways, tokens and gifts that I received as the editor of Technews Section of the Manila Bulletin.

Everything that you will see here would also be given away either by raffling it off or by just giving them away to those who need it more. I DO NOT intend to keep any of them for my personal use. I CHALLENGE THOSE WHO ACCUSED ME OF BEING CORRUPT TO DO THE SAME.

"Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."
